10 Ways to Say Thanks to Mom
I'm lucky enough to live pretty close to my mother in law Janet. She is a blessing in so many ways. She loves spending time with us and helping out with Cam. Here are some ideas I thought of to treat her, as a special thank you.
- Flowers – Especially in the middle of winter, flowers are a nice surprise.
- Homemade Cards – It takes some coaxing to get Cam to make a homemade card, him being too cool at age 10, but he likes to make drawings for his Nana.
- Homemade Meal or Dessert – I am definitely more of a baker and Janet likes the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I make.
- Dinner out – Enjoying a meal out is one of the most fun gifts you can give.
- Thank Yous on Facebook – My son is on Facebook and likes to send Nana little notes, it's a nice way for them to keep in touch.
- Photo Collages – I've made several photo collages with a mix of old photos and newer ones. Photo books are also a nice gift.
- Art Projects – Cam has made so many cute art projects over the year's. I love to give some to her for her fridge!
- Gift Cards – Gift cards are always appreciated, especially if they are a surprise!
- Magazine Subscription – Just like me, Janet loves to read magazines. It's always fun to get a surprise magazine subscription in the mail.
- A Party – Don't forget all the milestone events coming up in your loved ones life, like birthdays and anniversaries. Over 5 years ago, we celebrated her 35th wedding anniversary with the entire family.
I hope these ideas have inspired your own thank you's!
