The New Hotel Breakers + 2015 Season at Cedar Point
Last weekend we stayed at newly updated Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point and had the chance to check out the park's transformed roller coaster, Rougarou, and all the other great rides and attractions.
The new Hotel Breakers is really incredibly beautiful. I would love to have spent the entire weekend there, enjoying the lake and the park. Inside and out, it was stunning.
The hotel has a new main entry, fun & fresh guest room decor, a water play area and much more. Inside the famous rotunda is a full-service Starbucks and the Surf Lounge.
These pictures only capture part of the beauty. It's something you really need to see and experience for yourself.
I loved the carousel horses greeting visitors in the main lobby.
Did you notice the headboards are photos of Cedar Point rides? How cool!
The red chairs are 100% recycled and made from Coca Cola bottles. I wanted to take one home!
Outside of the hotel:
And if you are planning any kind of special event, be sure to book it at the Lakeside Pavilion. It's a big improvement over the former catering area with a view that can't be beat.
Inside the park, one of the first things we checked out was the new Sweet Spot shop.
Featuring freshly made treats, candy apples, taffy and more, it is a must-visit when you are at the park.
And I can't forget to mention Rougarou! The former Mantis roller coaster is immensely more rideable as a floorless coaster. Listen close and you'll hear the howl of the Rougarou in the swamp!
Rougarou is an entirely new riding experience for Cedar Point fans. Your legs will dangle just inches above the ride's orange steel track.
We can't wait for our next visit!
Thank you to Cedar Point for the stay at Hotel Breakers and park passes. All opinions are my own. We love Cedar Point and have been a Cedar Point family for decades!
