From May 5 to May 11, Staples is offering free teacher supply kits while supplies last (there are only 20 kits at each participating store, so get there ASAP). Each kit includes:

  • McAlister’s Deli

From May 6 through May 12, teachers can get a free 32-oz. tea from McAlister’s Deli, no other purchase necessary. The promo works for any kind of tea — sweet, unsweet, half-and-half, or an Arnold Palmer — and all you have to do is flash your school ID. (The free tea is for nurses as well, so bring your healthcare friends.)

  • Applebee’s

From now until May 13, teachers can get any appetizer ($12 and under) for free with the purchase of an entree at Applebee’s. The offer is only good for dine-in meals, and you’ll need to show your teacher ID. This promo is valid for nurses too, in honor of National Nurses Day.

  • Firehouse Subs

With a valid school ID, teacher can enjoy a free medium sub with the purchase of another medium or large sub, chips, and a drink.

  • Sonic

Sonic Teachers’ Circle is a free rewards program available through the Sonic App. If you’re a K through 12 teacher or faculty or staff at a university, you’re eligible to sign up. Do so before May 6, 2024, and you’ll have access to all these rewards between May 6 and May 20 (when you make a qualifying purchase):

Head to stitchfix.com/teachers to verify your teaching credentials and receive your unique promo code via text or email. Get your code between now and May 12, and use it before June 30.   • 7-Eleven: This year, 7-Eleven has a deal for 10 mini beef tacos for $2 for 7Rewards members. The deal is available now through May 5.

  • Abuelo’s: Take advantage of the all-day drink specials at Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant. You can sip on $5 Grande Mexican draft beer or the $5.95 Flag Margarita on Cinco de Mayo.

  • Acapulco Restaurant & Cantina: Celebrate the holiday at Acapulco Restaurant & Cantina. From 3 pm to 8 pm, customers can get food and drink deals for as low as $4.

  • Bahama Breeze: Typically, Bahama Breeze has a margarita deal for $5. The restaurant also hosts Happy Hour with half-priced appetizers from 4 pm to 6 pm every day.

  • Bar Louie: Bar Louie is advertising a Rock & Rita Martini this month. The cocktail is made with Grand Marnier, Teremana Resposado, agave, orange and lime. For every drink that is sold, the restaurant is donating $1 to the charity No Kid Hungry whose mission is to end childhood hunger.

  • Chipotle: Chipotle has a special deal for Cinco de Mayo. The fast-casual Mexican restaurant has a $0 delivery fee through May 5 with the code CINCO23. The code is available starting May 1.

  • Chuy’s: Don’t miss the drink specials at Chuy’s. Upgrade to the Grande ‘Rita for $2, get an extra pour of tequila for just $1 or try the limited-time Tito’s Frozen Lemonade on May 5.

  • Del Taco: You can get two free tacos when you sign up for the Del Yeah! Rewards program at Del Taco — the perfect freebie for May 5.
