This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I stopped by Dollar General recently to pick up some stuff. Did you know they have many of the staples you use in your kitchen, in their Clover Valley product line, that are much cheaper than national brands, and just as tasty? When you are looking for something delicious for dinner, Dollar General easy meals are a great idea!

With it being such a cold and snowy winter, I decided a crockpot meal was a must-have and decided to make my very popular crockpot mac and cheese. I’ve been making it for a few years now and it is requested at family parties all the time!

Here it is:

Ingredients:

2 cups uncooked Clover Valley elbow macaroni
4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups about 10 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

1
Boil the macaroni in a 2 quart saucepan in plenty of water until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain.
2
In a medium saucepan, mix butter and cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.
3
In a slow cooker, combine cheese/butter mixture and add the eggs, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well.
4
Then add drained macaroni and stir again.
5
Cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Enjoy!
