Snickers Halloween Promotion
/While some of us are still in beach-day mode, a whole lot of people have their eyes on Halloween. A Change.org petition is currently up to 123,679 signatures, all in favor of moving Halloween festivities to the last Saturday of October (that would be October 26th this year). Now Snickers—you know, one of the candy bars you hope ends up in your kids’ Trick-or-Treat bag so you can snag it—is throwing its support behind the cause by promising to give away one million candy bars to all of us lucky Americans if the government heeds the petition’s call and makes Saturday Halloween celebrations official.
To be clear about the petition, its writers, the Halloween & Costume Association, say it’s fine to leave Halloween on the 31st. However, they want the official day of trick-or-treating to be on the last Saturday of October to increase the fun and the safety of Halloween for families.
