Fresh Express Recall

Fresh Express is recalling over 200 varieties of its branded and private label salad products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

This issue was discovered when the Michigan Department of Agriculture received a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes in a random test of a single package of Fresh Express salad mix at the Steamwood, IL facility.

The recalled products were distributed to retailers in the Northeast and Midwest regions of the United States, as well as distributors and retailers in Canada. Affected states include CT, IA, IL, IN ,KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, and WI. Canadian provinces affected by this recall include Ontario and Manitoba.
