Walgreens Balance Rewards Update

HOW WILL THE NEW WALGREENS BALANCE REWARDS WORK?

Starting in November, you’ll only be able to redeem points at the following five tiers below, which will include a new 4,000 point tier. The maximum redemption limit per transaction will be 5,000 points ($5 reward), which means that your points will be of less value as you accumulate them. 

• 1,000 points = $1 discount
• 2,000 points = $2 discount
• 3,000 points = $3 discount
• 4,000 points = $4 discount
• 5,000 points = $5 discount (max)

If you have a lot of points in your Balance Rewards account, consider using them before November 4th as the point values will be reduced by up to 20%. Plus, the maximum redemption will be limited to 5,000 points per transaction – instead of the current 40,000 limit.

Note that points cannot be redeemed to purchase alcohol, dairy, tobacco, prepaid cards, clinic services, prescriptions, pharmacy items or services, contact lenses, and photo orders not picked up in store.
