Thanksgiving is all about spending time with the people you love — and food. Don’t forget about the food. To help you out with that second part, Krispy Kreme has unveiled its turkey day-inspired donuts. The flavors will remind you of all your favorite things that end up on your plate on this pants-busting holiday.

The new Thanksgiving Collection includes four festive donuts: Pecan Pie Doughnut, Cranberry Orange Doughnut, Dutch Apple Pie Doughnut, and Gobbler Doughnut. From flavor-stuffed options to those drizzled with tastes of the season, you just might ditch your typical after-dinner slices in favor of a dessert donut.

  • Pecan Pie Doughnut: An Original Glazed donut dipped in butter tart filling and topped with candied pecans and pie crust crumbles

  • Cranberry Orange Doughnut: A donut filled with cranberry, dipped in cranberry icing, and drizzled with icing

  • Dutch Apple Pie Doughnut: A donut filled with apple pie filling, dipped in caramel icing, topped in cinnamon, and decorated with an icing lattice

  • Gobbler Doughnut: A heart-shaped donut dipped in chocolate icing, decorated with chocolate Kreme and pretzel stick “legs,” and topped with Thanksgiving sprinkles and a Turkey Face fondant piece

For nearly two decades, the return of pumpkin at Starbucks has signaled the start of the fall season and inspired a cultural phenomenon around fall flavors and products. Starting Aug. 24, pumpkin returns to Starbucks stores across the U.S. and Canada, including the fall favorite duo Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Seasonal fall bakery items Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Pumpkin Scone will also return to join the Pumpkin Loaf, which is available year-around in the U.S. 

There are several convenient ways to enjoy Starbucks fall menu, including using the Starbucks app for order ahead and pick-up options: grab and go in-store, drive-thru, and curbside pick-up, where available. Those looking for Starbucks fall favorites from the comfort of home can place a Starbucks delivery order on Uber Eats. (Menu is limited. Check the Uber Eats app for availability and restrictions.)

Starting today at participating Krispy Kreme donut shops, fans can pick up the Carnival Collection to start their mornings right or to save for dessert. The three new donuts drew flavor inspo from classic carnival items like caramel apple, caramel popcorn, and cotton candy.

The caramel apple donut is a shell donut filled with caramel apple Kreme, dipped in green apple icing, and drizzles with caramel then completed with rainbow sprinkles and a pretzel stick to really look the part. The cotton candy donut is an original glazed donut dipped in an additional layer of cotton candy-flavored icing, covered in cotton candy sugar, then topped with buttercream and rainbow sprinkles.   • Users will get a free McChicken, burger, or ice cream after their first purchase.

  • Rewards programs are becoming more important than ever for fast food chains.

McDonald's is expanding a new customer rewards program nationwide after limited tests in certain areas of the US. Signing up for the program can get you a free vanilla cone, cheeseburger, McChicken, or hash browns after your first order.

My McDonald's Reward will replace My McCafe Rewards, the previous customer loyalty program. Customers who had existing points will still be able to keep them.

Using the app to order food or scanning in-store will rack up points on purchases, which can be exchanged for free menu items. Each dollar spent equals 100 points. Once customers reach 1500 points (about $15 worth of purchases) they're eligible to redeem a free item.

Target now has its own version of a Monopoly game.

Instead of being rewarded for bold spending, the player who saves the most wins. Instead of buying properties and hotels, you fill a shopping basket with groceries, clothes, housewares or other items found at a Target store, and compete to see who can save the most at checkout.

Target says the Monopoly: Target Edition lets shoppers experience the fun of a “Target run” or shopping trip while playing the game. Target collaborated with toy manufacturer Hasbro, which owns the Monopoly brand, to create the game.

Target will begin taking online pre-orders for the $24.99 game on June 25, and it will be available in stores and online Aug. 1.
